Product Description:
A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough; slicing; chopping; shredding cheese, vegetables, and meat; mincing garlic and parsley; mixing batters; and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Custom food processor comes with a 14-cup work bowl; five basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading; and also features two feed-tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and puréeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. In addition, a custom-contoured spatula, a recipe booklet, and a 30-minute video designed to familiarize the new owner with the care and use of the food processor are included. --Victoria Jenkins |

The Workhorse!
I've never had a real food processor before. I've had a mini processor and an attachment that goes with my blender but they just couldn't handle the larger jobs. I do lots of vegetarian meals where I need to grind nuts, make hummus and pulverize legumes into sauces. I probably use this two to three times a week and it can buzz through anything I put in the bowl. No leaking, rattling or problems. Cleanup is easy enough. It is a large processor and a little too big for me to tote in and out of the cupboard every time I need it - so it sits on the counter and does fit under the cabinets but I have to pull it out in order to put food in so keep in mind you need a little counter space. Happy processing!

Review #2 of Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel:
upgraded from 7 cup to 14 cup!
Never thought I'd use a food processor, my mom had an ackward large one that just sat on the counter. So, I started with the 7-cup. You'd be amazed at how often you use it! It makes wonderful sauces, creams soups easily (just don't over fill or you'll get a little "splatter" from the powerful burst!) After a couple of years, I realized that the 7 cup just wasn't big enough...if you love cooking and entertaining like I do, you must get the 14 cup. It's easy to use, and easy to clean. It shreds cheese wonderfully! I use it at least once a week, it has a permanent place on my kitchen counter. I've never tried to make crust or dough with it, but I will next time.

Review #3 of Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless Steel:
Look for an excuse
I'm not much of a cook, but look for an excuse every day to use this Cuisinart. Some have written that using a food processor is to much work, but I don't get it. It only takes a minute to set it up and seconds to chop or slice. You dump the processed food out and put the parts in the dishwasher. What could be easier? I don't know how I ever got along without it. Cooking has never been this much fun.
